September 10, 1964 to May 7, 2021

Robert Kenneth Gring  passed away at home, on May 7, 2021 in Nashville, TN. He was surrounded by his loving family following a battle with metastatic melanoma.

Robert lived the majority of his life in Manassas, VA, where he graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1982.  He became a Junior Member of the Greater Manassas Volunteer Rescue (GMVRS) at the age of 16 and continued on to become a nationally registered Cardiac Technician/Firefighter, and a life member of the GMVRS.  He was also a volunteer for the Magnolia Springs Fire Department in Magnolia Springs, AL.

A memorial service will be held at the Reformed Presbyterian Church, 9400 Fairview Avenue, Manassas, VA on June 12, 20021 at 1:00 pm.  Pastor Allen Church will officiate.  In gratitude for his life-long service to the community, a reception will be hosted by the Greater Manassas Volunteer Rescue Squad and Auxiliary following the service.  Reception will be held at the Manassas Volunteer Fire Company located at 9322 Centreville Road, Manassas, VA.
